5 Requirements to Drive a Polaris Slingshot
The Polaris Slingshot has been about attracting riders to a unique form of transportation for the past six years. You want to rent a Polaris Slingshot to see what all the excitement is about and we don’t blame you. They look incredibly fun to drive and you’re right, they are! A Polaris Slingshot is a vehicle and a culture like no other, and driving one ensures you steal the spotlight. First, we need to get a couple things out of the way. We have a few requirements in order to rent a Polaris Slingshot from us:
#1 Drivers must be over the age of 21 with clean driving records. This means no major moving violations, DUI convictions, or similar infractions. Unfortunately, on our Polaris Slingshot, we cannot rent any vehicles to drivers under the age of 21. We value your safety and take extra precautions to ensure all of our renters are safe. This is one reason that all renters must be 21 and older to rent the Slingshots.
#2 All renters must be physically present at the start of the rental. We do not allow third parties to pick up vehicles. Our employees must physically hand the keys over to the person who will be driving.
#3 All renters must leave a damage deposit in the form of a credit card authorization, cashier’s check, or cash. Any damage found on the vehicle upon return will be billed against this deposit. The amount of this deposit will vary depending on the vehicle being rented and your type of insurance, but typically varies between $500 to $1,000. This deposit is fully refundable following the completion of the rental and the return of a dent-free vehicle.
#4 Accidents happen! All renters must carry some form of insurance to cover damages to the vehicle in the event of an accident.
Beyond our rules here at Dream Rentals, there are also a few rules and requirements from the State of Florida and Polaris itself. In order to safely and successfully drive a Polaris Slingshot, you must:
#1 All renters and drivers must have a valid driver’s license. While this doesn’t look like anything else on the road, it is still subject to the rules of the road! It is strictly prohibited for us to rent a Polaris Slingshot to anyone not licensed to drive or whose driver’s license has been suspended or restricted.
